Prva međunarodna MCS ljetna škola

Pozivamo studente i mlade profesionalce da se prijave za prvu međunarodnu MCS ljetnu školu koja će se održati od 12. do 18. jula 2026. godine. Škola nudi interdisciplinarni akademski program o opsadi Sarajeva, uključujući predavanja, radionice i terenske posjete. Rok za prijavu je 15. juni 2026.

The 1 st MCS Summer School: Learning from the Past invite undergraduate and graduate students, young professionals particularly from the fields of social sciences and humanities (sociology, history, political science, law, international relations, human rights, Peace & Conflict Studies and related disciplines) to explore the Siege and Defense of Sarajevo (1992–1996) through an interdisciplinary academic program combining history, international law, urban conflict studies, memory politics, and civilian resilience. WHAT DO WE OFFER? Field visits to key historical sites and in-depth learning about the Siege of Sarajevo; Policy discussions and simulations; Survivor testimonies; Comparative analysis of contemporary conflicts; Recognized lecturers, experts from Sarajevo Memorial center and Bosnia and Herzegovina; The program transforms Sarajevo into a living classroom where memory, scholarship, and responsibility meet. PROGRAM DETAILS The program transforms the city into a living classroom, combining: Academic lectures by internationally recognized scholars and experts; Workshops; Field visits to key historical sites; Testimony and expert panels; Policy-oriented simulations; Student research presentations. Through an interdisciplinary framework and approach Sarajevo Memorial Center provides environment for participants to explore questions of war, civilian resilience, international law, cultural survival, and memory politics.
